Hello friends and fellow bloggers. I've missed catching up with all of you and sharing our inspiration and encouragement. It's been a rough New Year for us. We've all been passing around colds and upper respiratory junk for the last three weeks. I pinched a nerve in my right thumb that has put my hand out of commission for a couple of weeks. So of course no scrapbooking has been going on. Typing on the computer hasn't been easy either. And today, my only living aunt died after a month long sickness. We thought she was getting better.
The main reason I'm sharing this with you is because time flies and we go about our lives as it passes us by. There have been many times in the last few weeks I've thought I really needed to get on the phone and talk to my aunt about her life and history. Our family didn't talk about "stuff" much, and as I get older, I'm very interested in the "stuff" of their past and present lives. Don't let the current "stuff" we have to deal with get in the way and keep you from sharing and caring about others. Ask questions, give encouragement, and share your story. Let there be no regrets!
Hope to check in with you all soon, and have some of these important stories documented. Thanks for listening. Have a great weekend.
Hope this little picture puts a smile on your face. We need to share smiles often.

Finishing Up On December Daily
I had left off on Day 16 on my December Daily project last month. Today I was able to get one more day finished. In a way it's good for me to have the last few days to work on to get my creative juices flowing again. I really hate going this long without doing a bit of scrapbooking each day. It takes my creative wheels awhile, (most of the time), to start running smoothly again. Day 17 was caroling at the school and the kids last day of classes for two weeks. I made a photo collage on the right hand side and left the left side blank. I loved the patterned paper so much that I didn't feel the need to cover it with anything.
I want to take a moment to mention the turmoil and pain that has invaded our new year in Arizona. The cowardly and crazy acts of one young man hurt so many lives and put an end to those who perished. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected and our prayer is for their healing. Let us all remember and pray for those in pain, and thank you to the heroes who helped in this tragedy.
Best wishes to State Representative Gabrielle Giffords. Our hope is for a speedy recovery and that she pulls through her devastating injuries.

Happy New Year!
Why yes, I am still around. It's been a busy and hectic last three weeks. Things beyond our control have happened and I haven't been able to be creative in any way since the middle of December. I'm ready to get back in the groove and see what 2011 brings. I'm having serious withdrawals!
I need to check out some blogs to get my inspiration going. I am not enrolled in any classes until February 1st, when LOAD will be starting again, so I don't have any planned goals to follow. I think I will seriously check out the challenge sites on the web and try them out. I always love Scrapbookers Anonymous and The Paperclipping Crop Circle challenges.
I hope all of you are having a great New Year so far. Talk to you soon!
