I created my first layout for the March challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous. The challenge was to use lots and lots of stickers. I also used a adapted version of the sketch from my "28 Sketches" class at Big Picture Classes.
Product
Used: Patterned Paper & Letter Stickers: Making Memories - Flowers &
Butterfly Stickers: Martha Stewart- Word Stickers: K&Co. - Distresser
& Distress Ink: Tim Holtz.
The Sketch:
The flowers I used I had purchased about three weeks
ago with a layout idea in mind. Here we are later and couldn't remember what
I had purchased them for originally. I hate when I do that! I need to jot down the product purchased and the idea for the layout to use it on, and place it in my
inspiration file. But today I decided to use them as my inspiration piece,
(besides the photo and the story which came first).
The second layout was also created for Scrapbookers Anonymous and the March A-Z challenge. This month's letter is "H". My first though was hexagons, and I knew exactly which paper to use.
Product Used: Patterned Paper & Trinkets: My Mind's Eye - Letter Stickers: American Crafts & Cosmo Cricket - Brads: Basic Grey - Word Sticker: K&Co. - Pen: American Crafts - Adhesive: Duck Adhesive & Recollections Pop Dots.
Once I saw the birds in the patterned papers I chose to use from My Mind's Eye, I knew which photos I could use. So the hexagon shapes and the product choice led my inspiration on this layout to the photos and then the story. This was a quick and simple layout once I figured my photo placement. I cut out 3 of the matching hexagons from the paper and used pop dots to attach them to their mate. It's hard to see in the photo of my layout.
And lastly, I'll share a layout I created yesterday evening for my sketch class.
Products
Used: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics & Paperbilities - Patterned Paper &
Photo Corners: Basic Grey - Border & Die Cut Stickers: Simple Stories -
Bakers Twine: Doodlebug Designs - Mist Sprays: Memories Mist by Superior &
Tattered Angels - Adhesive: Scotch 2 Way Glue, ThermOWeb Foam Squares &
Duck Adhesive.
It's a very photo heavy sketch, but I'm very happy with it. For some reason I have a hard time scrapping themed layouts. I again used pop dots to raise the larger middle photo and matted it with a very thin mat to help it stand out from the other busy photos.
Take care and happy scrapping!
