I've been busy with general life and with LOAD. The daily layout prompts have kept me on my toes. Day 3 our challenge was to take colors that are usually associated with a holiday, and make a non-holiday page.
Products Used: All product are from My Mind's Eye Kraft Fun Day - Everyday Fun and Happy Days Collection.
I had this lovely product that I think I originally purchased because it reminded me of the 4th of July. I liked the movement that the chevron paper had, and thought it would be perfect for the subject of the run/walk.
I must say that this layout is an example of me putting my money where my mouth is. I had said in a previous post that I buy way too much scrap supplies, and I said I was going to be more intentional with my shopping. I tend to buy one of these, a couple of those, without regard to if it will match anything I already have in my stash. With this purchase of the My Mind's Eye product, I was more intentional. I made sure that I had a few things that I could use together, yet some of it would also match nicely with what I already have in my stash. I rarely have made a layout with everything coming from the same line before, let alone the same company. It's so freeing because they've done all the matching for you! I know, duh! I'm a slow learner at times!
Product Used: Patterned Paper & Buttons: American Crafts (Dear Lizzy-Neapolitan/Pretty Please & Daydreams/Wonderful Day) - Flower Gems: Colorbok (Flashy Finds) - Border Punch: Fiskars - Cloud Die Cuts: Sizzix - Die Cut Machine: Craft Robo - Adhesive: Duck Adhesive, Pop Dots & Glue Dots.
Today's prompt had to do with the sense of hearing. I decided to do my layout about the lack of sound. Sleeping Children! If you are familiar with Stacy Julian's Library Of Memories & Photo Freedom concepts, you will understand how easy it was for me to find these four photos. I had them all in my category drawer under the tab "sleep". It took me less than a minute to pull them out to use on this layout. Easy layout put together with a sketch from my "28 Sketches" class I took last month at Big Picture Classes.

And lastly, I created this layout for one of this week's challenges at Two Peas In A Bucket. The challenge is to use circles on your project. I used half circles as a border to my photos. It's hard to read the title on this scan, but it stands out much better in person.
And as the school year winds down, so are the clubs and events the kids have been a part of. We went to our middle granddaughter's Spring Choir Concert last night. This was her first year and she really loves it. I always loved choir, so I hope she continues with it throughout her school years.
I'm still waiting on two of the winners of the scrapbook boxes to contact me. I sent one off yesterday to a happy home. jenleon & Karen Conner, please contact me and I'll ship them out to you!
Hope you all have a great weekend. Tomorrow is National Scrapbooking Day. I am signed up for Big Picture Classes Creative Crop. I'm not sure how often I will be able to check in, but I'm sure there will loads of inspiration there to use at a later time.
Two Peas In A Bucket is also having projects, challenges and prizes. Be sure to check them out as well. I may see you at one of these sites.
