Not So Perfect Photos and a Very Happy New Year

We are almost there. . . . . to another new year. While 2012 had many ups and downs, it was filled with many new memories to record. Let the fun begin!

As you may already know, the 5th Monday of the month at Let's Get Sketchy is always a little bit different. There isn't a sketch involved, but a fun challenge is offered. This month the challenge is a "Not So Picture Perfect" layout. Find a photo that you have taken that may be blurry, dark, or overexposed and not what you call perfect quality. We all have them and we just can't bear to part with them because of the memory involved.

The photo I found is one of the first photos I took with my cell phone. The lighting is awful, but I love it. I am thankful for this challenge and that it nudged me to go ahead and create a layout with the not so stellar photo. Here's my layout:

For this layout I pulled a few products out that I had received in kits that I had purchased but never used, as well as a couple of newer products thrown in here and there. Simple and easy, and I'm happy with the result. I hope you will join us for this challenge. You will be so glad you did!

Happy New Year to you and your families. I hope that 2013 will be your best year yet! Thanks for all your kind words, your support and your friendship! You are all the best!!!

  11. What a great prompt! You really rocked the "not so perfect" picture. I am not sure one planned and perfectly lit would have the same youthful feel. The faces are amazing and the design really points to the photo. Love it! You are a gift and your grandchildren will never doubt how much they were treasured. Happy New Year friend.

  14. Debbie I think we should all scrap these photos - most of my best memories and not "perfect" photos. We can't all be fortunate enough to live in a portrait studio after all! My problem is usually weird stuff in the background. Love your layout, you did an amazing job.
