Good morning ya'll. I sure hope you had a terrific weekend. I had a super productive scrappy weekend, so I'm very happy. I was able to complete 9 layouts between Friday and Sunday. I can share 3 of them today, but the other 6 were for Design Team assignments, so I will have to share them at a later date.
Speaking of Design Teams, I want to remind you that it's a new sketch Monday at Let's Get Sketchy. Here's the sketch for August Week 4:
August Week 4 Sketch
Sketch created by Bev Code
My team, (Team B), is up today for the Design Team reveal. Be sure to check it out! Here is my layout using the sketch:
I pulled out lots of older product for this one. The patterned papers are from the Making Memories Paperie and Je t'adore collections.
Why don't you pull out some products you love and come join us at Let's Get Sketchy!
Okay, I created my next layout for the Use Your Stuff Challenge #98-Circles Galore. I punched patterned paper circles to create a border of circles across the top half of the layout.
I mixed old and new products on this layout. There are patterned papers from: Studio Calico/Snippets, Pebbles/Party w/Amy Locurto, Bella Blvd/Sunshine and Happiness, and the newest one from American Crafts/Mayberry collection. And the chipboard is from Colorbok, which I've had in my stash forever! Awesome challenge!
For this next layout, I used the Aug. 5th sketch from Stuck?!Sketches.
Here's my take on the sketch:
I normally create 12 X 12 layouts presently, but when I first started scrapbooking, I created the 8 1/2 X 11 size. I am trying to fill up the gaps in the older albums here and there, and this sketch worked perfectly for the photo and story I wanted to tell.
Everything on this layout is older patterned paper scraps that I pulled from my scrap box. I have no idea who even made most of them. The felt title and the transparency are from Making Memories, the tulle flowers are from Prima, and the brads and yellow patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye.
And my last layout to share was created for Sketches In Thyme-Sketch challenge #120. Here's the sketch:
I rotated the sketch clockwise and created this layout:
I decided the letters that I used didn't pop enough, so I decided to outline them. But then they looked funny, so I outlined all the papers too. I don't do outlining well, but it will do. All the patterned papers are from Bella Blvd, and the stars and transparency are from Making Memories.
Well thanks for sticking with me to the end. I hope you have a wonderful week. We have one more week in August, and then on to another new month. Can you believe it??!!!
