Hello there, and welcome to the Sketch N Scrap Holiday Blog Hop, where Everyday's a Holiday! Yesterday Tamika offered up some tasty sweets for you to celebrate The Sweetest Day! Today I am celebrating Thanksgiving. If you are like me, you tend to take a ton of photos during the holidays and wonder how you will possibly scrap them all on a layout. Pocket pages are a wonderful solution, but I also like to put together a two page layout once in awhile. That's what I decided to do with these Thanksgiving photos.
In my stash, I had these lovely patterned papers and embellishments from the Little Yellow Bicycle/Acorn Hollow collection. I absolutely loved the colors and the patterns in this line. Many scrappers think that in order to create a two page spread, you need two of each patterned paper to do so. Not true at all. I usually cut my papers in half and spread them across the two pages. I was able to create this layout with three different patterned papers from the collection, and had quite a bit to spare.
And remember, when you are taking your holiday photos, don't forget to capture the preparing, the finished product and the devouring of those holiday foods.
Tomorrow the Holiday Blog Hop continues at Ria's blog. In fact, every day until November 8th, we will be celebrating more holidays with a different Design Team member. If you've missed anything so far, be sure to start at this post and hop around from there!
Thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate you! I have a prize to give away to one lucky winner! All you need to do is leave a comment on this blog post telling me what your favorite holiday is, and I will pick a winner to receive this prize:
Prize winner will be announced November 11th. Good luck!
Have a wonderful weekend and happy hopping!
